Protein Bars Recipe

Protein Bars Recipe

protein bars recipeYum!! This is a great Protein bars recipe especially if you like chocolate and peanut butter. I love how versatile the recipe is you can substitute whatever you have on hand for the sunflower seeds, etc. with. All of the store bought protein bars are so expensive these days this recipe has saved me alot of money. This recipe makes a total of 9 and each bar is packed with 13.4 grams of protein. Sure you might say that isn’t as much as the store bought ones which are usually around 20g of protein per bar, but this one you can make over and over again and you probably already have the ingredients laying around – remember some of this recipe can be substituted. If you really need more protein you could add more protein powder but this may result in dry tasting bars. Anyways let me know what you think of this protein bars recipe.

  • 1 1/3 cup oats
  • 4 scoops of chocolate protein powder(I used Body Fortress)
  • 1 cup dry nonfat dry milk
  • 1/3 cup each: sunflour seeds, dried cranberry, coconut flakes
  • 5 tbs peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  1. Fix all dry ingredients, mix water and vanilla until smooth
  2. I recommend covering the bottom of the pan with wax paper, as they come out soft and sticky but oiling a square baking pan works too
  3. Spoon into pan and refrigerate for two hours. Cut and indivdually wrap. Makes 9 bars.
